Union Pacific 844 is a preserved 4-8-4 steam locomotive.
Biography
UPRR 844 was built in 1944 as the last steam locomotive for the railroad. It's suprisingly well performance led to it's key significance: it was never retired from service (the only American engine to be so)! 844 has pulled excursion trains throughoutit's career, and still does today.
