Biography[]

Little is known about 999's past, however, it was claimed that the engine went over 100 m.p.h, the first train to do so. However, doubts were set on the claim and it is not recognized as it was and never will be proven.

The engine then took several railtours across America until it was donated to the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry for permanent static display.
